Single Pitch RescueIntermediate Level Course
We have distilled the information taught on previous courses, and looked in to more realistic situations for self rescue. We will teach you the best, most efficient systems and won't flood you with over complicated useless systems. All these skills are useful in everyday climbing and its amazing how much speed and efficiency is gained from having these skills “dialed”. Self rescue is a topic that all climbers should be skilled in for themselves and the people they climb with.
Topics covered:
Course Prerequisites: Applicants must have taken our Foundation Level Courses or can top rope 5.6 climbs, rappel and have some experience placing artificial gear and building anchors.
Number on course: Maximum of 6:1 client to instructor ratio Course length: One day Course dates: Click Here for dates and booking information 4+: $120 per person (four+ to one instructor, one day) 3: $140 per person (three to one instructor, one day) 2: $175 per person (two to one instructor, one day) 1: $250 per person (one to one instructor, one day)
*The costs are based on the actual amount of participants on the course. Courses normally run at 4+ people but in the event the courses run with less people the costs will be as shown above. Participants that do not wish to take the course with low numbers (because of the cost) can change their course to another date. The upside to lower numbers is of course a more personal course.
Our Multipitch Rescue Course looks at more complex topics related to climbers self rescue in the multipitch environment such as rescuing the injured lead climber, evacuation from more than one rope length off the ground, and more advanced mechanical advantage raising systems.
