Karsten_Delap._Nose_of_Looking_Glass_Rock_NCAt Fox Mountain Guides and Climbing School, we consider ourselves career Mountain Guides and Climbing Instructors.  Our full time employees have forgone careers as university professors, business people, and engineers to prove that guiding and climbing instruction can achieve fiscal solvency when pursued by career-minded professionals. Fox Mountain Guides is proud to have a core of guides that are fulltime employees, working only for Fox Mountain Guides. We are the only company in the region where guides have achieved this, we don’t work part-time jobs elsewhere, we are truly fulltime Instructors and Guides.

Such a philosophy guarantees that our climbing courses, guided days, and expeditions demonstrate professional quality and client care, unlike many of our part-time competitors.  If you are interested in working for the premiere climbing school in the Southeast, making a serious and legitimate career in mountain guiding and climbing instruction, and working amongst like-minded professionals, Fox Mountain Guides and Climbing School seeks dedicated, skilled, and AMGA certified guides and instructors.

At Fox Mountain Guides we believe that a guide never stops learning and improving so we fully support our employees through ongoing education, mentorship, reviews and quality work throughout their career. Our guides get top pay rates, benefits, support and plenty of work. The Guides know that Fox Mountains Guides works for them, not them for FMG; we are all partners in the company and all benefit from its growth.

The guide’s life often demands an enormous investment of time, resources, and energy on the front end.  A young instructor’s life can be downright penurious.   But perseverance, hard-work, and a relentless pursuit of excellence will eventually garner a modest payoff; ask any of our full time employees.

Take a look at our employee requirements and if you think you are what we are looking for, follow the application process for employment.

Recomendations

"How can I learn to climb? I asked all around Charlotte and I got the same answer from Jessie Browns, Inner Peaks and Great Outdoor Prov. Co. All three said to contact Fox Mountain Guides because they were the best out there. So with 3 Fox brochures in hand I called to schedule the Rock Climbing 101 Course. I then took the Single Pitch Lead Course and then the ‘Master Class’ in December from Adam himself. It's been the best money I've spent for climbing yet!"
