Fox Mountain Guides offers ice climbing and the most comprehensive range of ice guiding and courses in the Southeast, from top roping to multipitch routes and instructional courses. We are the only local guide service based right here in the heart of the ice climbing. Let the local experts take you out on the ice! Ice conditions in North Carolina  vary from year to year but ice climbing can be possible from late November through to the end of February. This winter we will be posting current ice conditions on the Fox Mountain Guides website. We also offer ice climbing trips to the North East.

Top Rope Ice Climbing

We offer top roping of ice routes for absolute beginners at areas around Brevard, Asheville and Boone. No experience or equipment needed! If you are a climber, have climbed in a climbing gym or even if you have never climbed before you can ice climb, we can introduce you to the world of winter climbing! We supply all the equipment and the most experienced and AMGA Certified instructors and Guides in the Southeast to introduce you to the exhilarating sport of ice climbing! We take out individuals, groups, and families (minimum age of 13 years old).

"Last December I went ice climbing in Ouray, Colorado, with the San Juan Mountain Guides.  I enjoyed it so much that I would like to go ice climbing again.  Since I live in North Carolina the guides in Ouray recommended that if I wanted to go ice climbing in the Appalachians Mountains, I should contact Fox Mountain Guides".
