Cancellation Policy

We employ an industry standard cancellation policy. Please read the following carefully and then email or call the office with any questions before booking. We highly advise you look at ‘trip insurance’ offered by independent companies to safeguard your trip if you have to cancel or reschedule your booking.

  • All deposits are non-refundable except for weather-related cancellations made by FMG. (Your guide will decide if inclement weather at the climbing location necessitates cancellation).
  • Full payment for all bookings except summer camps and bookings outside of North Carolina is due 30 days prior to the booking date. You will be charged in full if you cancel or reschedule your booking within this time period.
  • Full payment for summer camps, bookings outside North Carolina, and military programs is due 90 days in advance of the booking start date. You will be charged in full if you cancel or reschedule your booking within this time period.
  • All gift certificates and credits expire one year from the date issued.

We take Visa and Mastercard, cash, and checks. We will charge your outstanding balance to the credit card you placed the original order on unless otherwise instructed. You may also pay the balance by sending a check to Fox Mountain Guides, 234-A S. Broad St., Brevard, NC 28712. Please include a note saying whom the payment is for, what type of guiding or course and dates of booking. Please make checks payable to “Fox Mountain Guides, LLC.” There is a $30 service charge for all returned checks.

Courses and guiding are offered throughout the year;  yes, we guide 12 months of the year as the weather can be 70° in January down here in the South! If you don’t see a course date that fits your schedule, give us a call. Early booking is essential as some courses are fully booked up to 2 months in advance (especially guiding days in April  through November). Last minute bookings are sometimes available so please call or email the office to find out availability.

Trip Insurance

We strongly suggest you look into ‘trip insurance’ from one of the several independent providers available on the internet as this can protect you from losing your money if you have to cancel your booking at the last minute.
