Cancellation Policy

We employ an industry standard cancellation policy. Please read the following carefully and  email or call the office with any questions before booking.

  • All deposits are non-refundable except for weather-related cancellations made by FMG. (Your guide will decide if inclement weather at the climbing location necessitates cancellation). In the event of a weather cancellation, we will either reschedule your trip or give you a full refund minus a 10% administrative fee; the choice is up to you.
  • Full payment for all bookings is due 30 days prior to the booking date. You will be charged in full if you cancel or reschedule your booking within this time period.
  • All gift certificates and credits expire one year from the date issued.

Trip Insurance

We highly advise you to purchase trip insurance to cover the cost of your trip if you have to cancel or reschedule your booking for ANY reason, including illness, injury, or other circumstance that prevents you from attending. Trip insurance is available online through a variety of independent providers. If you forgo trip insurance and cancel or reschedule for any reason within 30 days of your trip start date, you will be responsible for the full cost of your booking.

Payment

We take Visa and Mastercard, cash, and checks. We will charge your outstanding balance to the credit card you placed the original order on unless otherwise instructed. You may also pay the balance by sending a check to Fox Mountain Guides, PO Box 1445, Pisgah Forest, NC 28768. Please include a note saying whom the payment is for, what type of guiding or course and dates of booking. Please make checks payable to “Fox Mountain Guides, LLC.” There is a $36 service charge for all returned checks.

Early booking is essential as some courses are fully booked up to 2 months in advance (especially guiding days in April  through November).
