At Fox Mountain Guides, we offer two types of guided outdoor rock climbing experiences in North Carolina and across the Southeast: day trips and multi-day courses. Day trips are perfect for individuals and groups who want a custom rock climbing adventure, be it a beginner’s climb or more advanced trip. With the exception of two hour lessons at Chimney Rock in Chimney Rock State Park, they are private trips where you get to choose the type of climbing experience you want. This can be anything from a day of single pitch climbing to a multi-pitch climb up the tallest rock face on the East Coast!

Our rock climbing courses have a set curriculum and are designed to teach you to become an independent climber, capable of setting up climbs for yourself. We have clients who have come to us having only climbed in a gym who now lead multi-pitch climbs themselves all over the world after taking our progression of courses. Typically these are two-day, group courses scheduled in North Carolina on weekends throughout the year, but you can also book a private course at a time and location convenient to you.
