Renata Calmon, a passionate climber from Brazil, found her calling on the cliffs of her homeland in Brazil. Her love for climbing ignited a journey that led her to create the  film “Women are Mountains,” celebrating female climbers and showcased worldwide. Driven by a desire to deepen her expertise, Renata pursued guiding education in the United States, completing an AMGA Apprentice Rock Guide Course and becoming a certified Single Pitch Instructor.

Renata’s adventures have taken her across the globe, scaling the peaks of Mexico, Patagonia, Thailand, Spain, Italy, Morocco, and the diverse landscapes of the USA. Her heart beats for the thrill of trad climbing, the challenge of cracks, and the allure of grand objectives. For Renata, climbing is more than a sport—it’s a way to connect with different cultures, landscapes, and people. It empowers her, providing a sense of accomplishment and strength, while fostering deep connections with others who share her passion for adventure.

Renata loves to teach and learn through climbing, believing that the education process never ends. Each climb is an opportunity to grow, share knowledge, and inspire others to find their strength and joy in the vertical world.
